SIMCom teams up with DDGO to take part in the 2018 China North International Electric Bike Show

The 2018 China North International Electric Bike Show under the theme “One Belt One Road, Green Innovation, Shared Development”, held between 23 and 25 March was inaugurated at the Tianjin Meijiang Cenvention Center. As the pivotal technical and smart component in the shared commuting campaign, SIMCom joined forces with DDGO to take part in the 2018 China North International Electric Bike Show. 


The total display area of the exhibition exceeded 100,000 square meters. Over 600 entities were on display. This exhibition was characterized by its diversity, international coverage, innovation and foresight. The products being exhibited covered bicycles, electric bikes and spare parts, shared bikes as well as related technical products.

  The SIMCom module is a key technical product for shared bikes and has already gained an excellent reputation in terms of stability and quality on the market. The supply quantity of SIM800C/SIM800L/SOM868 to the bike market has already exceeded 15 million.   


With the popular development of shared bikes, shared electric bikes are also riding the same wave. Meanwhile, shared charging pole suppliers serving these electric bikes are also flourishing. NB-IoT can be used for data transmission for the charging poles. In the range of products made by SIMCom, SIM7000C supports eMTC/NB-IoT/EDGE and SIM7020 is NB-IoT only module.

SIM7000C uses SMT encapsulation to support LTE CAT-M1(eMTC), NB-IoT and GPRS/EDGE with a size of 24*24*2.6mm and weighing 3.0g. The data transmission rate can attain as high as 375Kbps. SIM7000C is prepared with rich ports including UART, USB2.0 and GPIO which give this module great expandable potential and provide enormous convenience to the product development of users.The encapsulation of SIM7000C is pin-to-pin adaptable to the SIM900, and SIM800F series and to most AT commands. This minimizes customers’ development time, increases the speed of products being available on the market, and allows customers’ products to be upgraded from 2G to NB-IoT&eMTC.


The SIM7020 series is a multi-band NB-IoT wireless communication module solution. Its SIM7020C supports the B1/B3/B5/B8 bands and is targeted for the domestic market, while its SIM7020E supports the B1/B3/B5/B8/B20/B28 bands and is intended for the European market.SIM7020 is housed in a 17.6 x 15.7 x 2.3mm 42-pin LCC package. As the world’s smallest-in-class NB-IoT module, it is well suited for compact product designs.


SIM7000C and SIM702 is the optimal solution to low delay, middle volume applications. It is therefore very suitable for IoT fields such as shared charging poles, power measuring devices, remote control systems, remote monitoring and shared bikes.
